The Indesit white goods Company is the biggest manufacturer and supplier of kitchen appliances in the UK through its Hotpoint, Indesit, Cannon and Creda brands.

The Indesit Hotpoint brand came to the UK in the early 1900s, with the introduction of a brand new invention the electric iron. This iron had a heating element which reached the length of the iron and converged, resulting in a hot point, which is where the name "Indesit " came about.

In 1911 the Indesit company officially came into existence. Indesit is arguably best known for its washing machines, although they manufacture the full range of white goods.
